Jay has been in the auto service industry for over twenty five years. His first job out of high school was in a Pennsylvania wrecking yard, where he reveled in taking cars apart and learning about them from the inside out. Over the years, Jay has taken a more profound interest in car repair, developing a special like for Japanese makes. After settling in Seattle, he became an ASE Master Certified Technician in advanced engine repair and performance, exhaust, brakes, electronic systems, suspension and steering, heating and air conditioning, and manual and automatic transmissions.
Jay’s biggest source of pride is Superior Auto Service. Over the years he has worked to make the auto repair shop successful, and strives daily to uphold the service commitment and quality that form the basis of his work ethic. In a world where mechanics are considered shifty, Jay is trying to change that image one car repair at a time. His happiest moments are when a customer comments on his team’s professionalism.
When he’s not working on cars and worrying about his shop, Jay is with his wife of 21 years, Joanna, their two sons RJ and Eli, and Ruby, their chocolate lab. He is often working on home projects, boating, camping, hiking, or fishing.
Charlie is usually the first person you meet at Superior Auto Service. As Service Manager, Charlie is the knowledgeable liaison between customer and mechanic. Charlie is always happy to explain things to you in an understandable way, and he cares about you aside from your car problems.
More than 25 years ago, Charlie got his start in the automotive field as a parts driver. His knowledge, friendly demeanor, and organizational ability have helped him to develop a loyal customer base that depends on him for their automotive needs.
After work Charlie is a “dad” to a Siberian Huskies named Kugar. When he isn’t enjoying the company of his dog, Charlie is a sports fanatic with a taste for American brews. GO SOUNDERS!!!
Colby has worked in the auto industry since high school, where he worked at Jiffy Lube. He has over 12 years of experience in the auto industry, and is a knowledgeable, polite, and confident employee. Colby enjoys the low-stress and supportive environment at Superior Auto, and he likes working closely with the rest of the staff. Colby has his Associate Degree in Auto and Diesel Tech from Universal Technical Institute, as well as his ASE Master Certification. In his free time, he goes camping and boating, and likes to work on cars.
Jeff started in the automotive business more than 25 years ago, working for his father who owned a car lot. He is a mostly self-taught mechanic and his friends describe him as dependable and honest. Jeff gets things done. “I care for your vehicle as if it were my own.” At Superior, Jeff specializes in diagnosis and repairs, but as he says, “Our crew shares the workload. We are all good at what we do.” His favorite part about working at Superior is that “everyone works together to solve problems. We’re a team.” In his spare time, Jeff and his wife like to ride motorcycles, Harley Davidsons and hot rods. They have two “kids,” ages 21 and 27 and a dog.
Geoff got his start in the auto world 13 years ago working for a friend. He went to Lake Washington Tech and got his hands-on training at several Northwest garages. Like all Superior mechanics, Geoff is a certified Master Level ASE car service expert. He is also an excellent welder and his coworkers often call on him to perform that task. People describe Geoff as easy to talk to and trusting. He is a hard-working, loyal employee who presents himself in a professional way. In his free time, Geoff helps friends with their cars and works on small and sometimes large projects at home. He also likes hiking, fishing, camping, and boating with his family and friends. He and his beautiful wife Emily have two cats, Henry and Leland.
Keith’s interest in cars began as a young boy helping his dad work on his race car. As Keith grew, so did his interest in everything cars. His first professional job was at Les Schwab where he installed more tires than he can remember. From there he moved on to Big O Tires, Tony’s American Car Care, Affordable Tire & Brake and Ace Auto. Now we’re lucky to have him on our team as Service Writer extraordinaire. With 23 years’ experience working on and around cars Keith picked up most everything he knows being entrenched in the industry. Keith’s favorite part of working at Superior is knowing he helps our customers get back on the road happy. We find Keith to be very personable, honest, caring and respectful and know you will too. When Keith isn’t here helping our customers he is spending time with his beautiful wife Tiffany, three kids, two grandsons and their family dog. He also enjoys building model cars, watching auto racing on TV or simply hopping in his car with no direction in mind to find new places. Please help us in welcoming Keith to Superior.
Josh started working on cars as a hobby before going to Universal Technical Institute – Arizona in 2006. He gained an associate’s degree in Applied Sciences from UTI and he holds a variety of certifications and training credentials from sources such as Napa, ATE, Snap-on, and O’Reilly’s. As an auto technician, Josh handles whatever needs done at Superior Auto Service. He enjoys constantly having a variety of things to do and being able to consistently learn. His strong work ethic shows in his professionalism and honest interactions with customers. Outside of the auto repair shop, Josh enjoys traveling and playing all kinds of sports (“especially competitive contact flag football”) as well as hanging out with his wife, parents, and younger sister.
